We recently returned from our 5th Annual Executive Summit at Sea Island, and the momentum from this incredible week continues to inspire our team. What started as a vision for bringing our portfolio leaders, Executive Council members, and team together has evolved into something far more powerful: a true community of leaders learning from and supporting one another.
A New Chapter: Introducing Breakout Sessions
This year marked an important evolution in how we structure our Summit. For the first time, we introduced breakout sessions designed specifically to foster cross-portfolio collaboration. The energy in these smaller groups was palpable as executives dove deep into shared challenges and discovered unexpected synergies.

AI Integration Across the Portfolio
The conversation has shifted from “Should we implement AI?” to “How do we do it effectively?” Our portfolio companies shared practical implementation strategies—from customer acquisition to building AI-enabled products.
M&A as Strategic Advantage
Whether pursuing acquisitions or positioning for eventual exit, our portfolio companies are thinking strategically about M&A. The breakouts revealed sophisticated approaches to using M&A as a growth lever, with several companies sharing lessons learned from recent transactions.
Navigating Leadership Inflection Points
Every CEO faces moments when the job fundamentally changes, when what got you here won’t get you there. We explored these critical transitions, with leaders sharing raw, honest insights about knowing when to delegate, how to restructure their roles, and the importance of building the right advisors as companies scale
Beyond the Boardroom
Sea Island offers something rare in our industry: time and space for genuine connection. Some of the most valuable conversations happened on the golf course at Seaside, out on the water during fishing excursions, or during friendly (but competitive) pickleball matches. These informal moments allow leaders to let their guard down and share what’s really keeping them up at night.
The relationships formed and strengthened at Sea Island have led to incredible outcomes in prior years. In an industry often focused on metrics and multiples, Sea Island reminds us that some of the best investments we make are in relationships.
